Why is a stage compared to a canvas and is always related to one’s deep emotions? From seeing numerous artists performing on stage, putting all their efforts and heart into their stage presence, also having spent some time on such a social platform myself. I can affirm that it is one of the best feelings that I have ever experienced to date. I still remember the last time I danced on a stage after a while; a weird feeling within and a strong adrenaline rush spreading nervousness across my veins. However, in parallel, I felt extreme nostalgia of the time when I used to be on stage more often, giving me the happiness of holding the same confidence and reminding me of a long-forgotten side of myself. In my opinion, this is a beautiful experience and an opportunity to present an artistic side of one’s self to the spectators. I remember the shimmering smile on my parents’ face, reflecting pride and a self-accomplishment. This memory is extremely prestigious to me and creates a sweet emotion within me.
A stage carries a significant place in an artist’s heart because that is the only place where they can showcase the colors of their talent and connect to the minds of the audience and also their own self. If a person holds the confidence to show their creativity to a crowd, then they are passionate about that and feel satisfied after devoting time into it. I have been the part of the spotlight many times singing and performing choreographies, in which I devoted hours and days of dedication. To see the hard work come to success is a heartfelt feeling with a cheerful audience. It felt as if I drew a color of exuberance and accomplished everything in that moment when the stage felt like my entire world and I had to live it to the fullest. But the essential question is how can someone get a stage? The answer is simple, you can create your own stage where you sense a crowd, that becomes part of your performance.
Stages allow people to perform various art skills from the context of an artist who knows to connect with the audience and their choices.
A few months ago, one of my friends was participating in a musical at our school theater. While watching her, I realised that actors like her who act live may go through a gush of nervousness before they start, but still end up giving a refreshing performance and connect with each person in the hall. Such artists hold a strong potential to affect the mental state of the viewers. It is challenging to execute expressions without any editing and retakes, the stage artists can be so effective, which shows their diligence toward the final output. They are well-known for the fact that everything has to be carried out with perfection in a single go with no chance of error, but still they don’t give up. Artists just don’t perform but they all have to follow certain dedication, discipline, consistency, and they continue their artwork, which shows their affection for the skill where they belong and acquire a respite from everyday struggles.
To recapitulate, the reason I compare a stage to a canvas is because I can paint different colors of emotions, feelings, and expressions that can bring the same feelings of emotions and expressions to the world. Each move of mine , resembling the hard work behind it and putting an unforgettable mark in the memories of the viewers and a blissful experience in me, that remains green in our minds forever. This is the reason why I can say that the stage is my platform where I can present myself to everyone in the form of a dance and music enthusiast because this is where I belong and paint my brush freely.
