Social Media vs. Books
Many people of this generation care more about their phones and Instagram rather than books. Sometimes it feels as if abundant people are pushing books away. People used to fill up libraries to get books, now whenever I go to the library, there are a few children playing video games or playing with blocks. I went to the library yesterday and found the library abandoned like a spooky towering mansion. The receptionist was there, typing on her phone and few people were working in the cubicles. Even the beggars and the homeless have phones.
Why Do People Need Cellphones?
People invented phones for communication. Soon the world got advanced and modern and here we are. We use phones for writing notes, playing games, chatting on social media websites, and even buying daily groceries. Back in 1876 people had telephones but not cellphones. People used those phones to communicate, not to buy milk or take notes. Things like notes are supposed to be memorized. That is what my mom and I do when we go to the supermarket. We only order groceries from our phones when we have to go somewhere urgent. Last weekend, my mom had to place an order for a toy for my cousin. We had to pick it up, but it was urgent. I think people should only use cellphones for communicating and urgent business. People should read books and learn more about the world, than keep their faces stuck in their phones.
How To Prevent This?
Most parents should ban phones in their houses. Schools should confiscate any phone they see. Teachers should stop looking at their phones in the middle of classes, so children can stop getting influenced. Whenever a child goes for their tuition or class, then they should carry a mini Android phone, if there is an emergency. If you want to give a 19 year old child a gift, then don’t give them a phone, give them a chapter book.
In conclusion, children should be given books for more knowledge, not phones for more society. I hope my readers understand my point.

Bravo! Good job.
Thoughtful choice.
Very true. Books are one of the best source of mindfulness.
Love how you value stories over social validation—books feed the soul, not ego.
