My Dad, My Superhero
A father is one of the most important people in a family. He is the strength, the inspiration, the guide and the protector for the family. Sometimes, he can be stern, or other times joyful and amusing. And today is a day made to celebrate him and other people who are just like him, those people who contribute greatly to their households for their family’s benefit. Today is a day made to appreciate our father’s in any possible way, and we should do the best we can.
My dad is my superhero, and he doesn’t need to be strong enough to lift a mountain, or breathe out lava, he just needs to be my dad. He should be the person I come to for help in studying, he doesn’t have to lift civilians out of fires burning their homes. He is the most unique type of superhero to reside on Earth, and he doesn’t need to stop daily crime, he just needs to be plain and simple Dad!
In the end, I simply believe that even though I won’t inherit his sense of humor or his generous spirit, I hope that I can have a fraction of his patience, because that’s really what makes him a superhero to me! He is not a simple man, so let’s appreciate the man with the worst jokes, the right answers and the awful advice. Happy Father’s Day!
