What Makes Me, Me?
Explore the unique traits and hobbies that define who I am.
The world is a flurry of snowflakes, each one meticulously made and wonderfully idyllic. Each one illuminates the world in its own way. We are those snowflakes, shining beyond others. We all have many traits defining our personalities and sense of character. There are many possibilities of our being: what we are proud of, what we can accomplish, and what we are simply passionate about. People reflect many perspectives through their eyes and how they feel about things, only because we are different beings. There are also many things that make each of us a unique person in this multiverse. We are all dissimilar in some way. If we were all the same, no one would have any special interests, hobbies, or purpose. Today, we are all alluring because we are who we are. The million-dollar question is, what makes me, me?
To begin with, I have adored creating art since I was young. Models, paintings, sketches, and portraits all played a major role in the story. I have made countless designs and artworks to fill up a room. This is something I am passionate about, and something that will stay with me for years to come. A new idea for art always pops up in my head to create a new masterpiece. Whether it’s a bustling city or a picturesque landscape, I always put my true self into what I make. My art has also been put in exhibitions and schools, which I am genuinely proud of. This keeps me motivated because I know that my art will one day be recognized if I improve. Artwork can be observed in many concepts, and that is what I love about it. There are so many ways to create, build, and innovate with imagination all at once. Art is a whole part of me; it’s what brings me happiness, and it is something that definitely makes me, me.
Additionally, swimming is a colossal part of me, and if I didn’t enjoy it, I would not be me. Ever since I was a few months old, my father has brought me to our local pool and taught me how to swim. It felt staggering, like I was meant to do this. Swimming is something I have been passionate about from a very young age. It is also something that I will cherish in all my memories. I compete in meets and competitions to practice my skills. This summer, I got onto a swim team where over 200 athletes are involved. There are championships at the end of the season, and practice is every morning except the weekend. I admit that I love what I do, and because I love to swim, I am who I am. From 7 months to 12 years old, I have kept doing this hobby, and I recognize this as something I won’t give up on for a long time.
Furthermore, another trait that makes me, me is that I'm a person who can read for hours. Reading takes up my time, and it helps me understand the world around me. It offers knowledge and a world to explore and dream. I read in my free time, I read when I am bored. Books are there when everything else has fallen apart. Reading has been something that I have had an interest in my whole life. My world revolves around gaining different parts of who I am. Reading is simply one of them, but it is one that makes me, me. It has always been something that I will excel in the future. The more you read, the more you know. Reading is a major part of myself, and I look up to it every day. Once I sit down, I can never get up because of the places books take me.
In conclusion, we all have something that makes us unique in some way. Whether it is your personality, your likes, dislikes, hobbies, or interactions, we are all different in our own ways. The world has creativity, empowerment, and a wide range of jobs because of this. No two people are the same, just like those snowflakes. Without our differences, the world would fall apart. We wouldn’t be here today. I wouldn’t be writing this very blog of my own. Love yourself for who you are and what you live for. My love for creativity is shown through my interests and specific likes. Swimming, painting, and reading are what make me who I am. These are the things that make me, me.
